CREATIVE PRODUCER
In 2019, I joined the team of MarianaMalena Theatre Company as Creative Producer. Based in London, the Company is a small, female-led team of migrant artists including Co-Directors Mariana Aristizábal Pardo (Colombia) and Malena Arcucci (Argentina), and myself (USA).
We work with a number of creatives from around the world to tell stories from an international perspective.

As Mariana navigates the expectations of her Latin American family, culture, and traditions, she embarks on a fantastical journey through transformative moments in her grandmother’s life. Intertwined by their universal experiences as women, the two communicate their joy and pain across a generational gap. Reality and memory blur through this exhilarating ride of movement, music, and language.
‘…both entertaining and thought-provoking, and truly achieves its aim to make the audience reflect on their own identity, and how the life choices they make, and their heritage, make them who they are.’

This sharing of practice-as-research was an interrogation of the body communicating an embodied perception of style. Movement Practitioner & Director Alejandra Chacon joined me in my studio explorations and this final presentation, which used music, improvisational movement, our bodies' shadows, various marking tools, and paint.
